Sometime In The Mourning

And I am looking

for healing within

the hands of a woman

who claims

she still sees

all the colours

I have felt fading

from somewhere

deep

inside of me.

And I am searching

for clarity within

the hands of a woman

who claims

she still sees

all the light

I have felt dimming

from somewhere

deep

inside of me.

And I have been praying

for peace within

at the hands of a woman

who claims

she still sees

all the faith

I have felt leaving

from somewhere

deep

inside of me.

This sadness,

it cloaks

the walls

of the chamber

where your blood

still ferociously

beats,

but deep

inside

is a corner

where a father’s love

can never leave.

Despite the mourning

and the grieving,

I still hold

love unconditionally.

And though it hurts

and you are gone,

forever

I will keep

the love

you locked into

that place

where nothing

can

take it from me.

Not grief

nor doubt,

not even

my own damned

melancholy,

for I am

a daughter

who had a father

who loved her

unconditionally,

and I promise

to remember

every moment

who I am,

and who you

always knew

I would

eventually be

until that day

when we are

together

and you are

smiling

back at me.

  1. Do you not have your father anymore? I haven’t heard anything? If you have lost your Dad I am sending you lots of love and hugs and deep condolences.♥️🙏🏼
