Mothers Day is always bittersweet for me, I am so thankful for my two beautiful daughters but there is a part of me that still grieves for the ones I wasn’t able to carry to term. Miscarriage, though unfortunately all too common, is often not talked about, as if there is a shame there. This is for all of the women who have felt that pain.
I Never Knew
I never knew a soul could sing
until I felt mine become more.
I never knew a soul could ache
until I watched mine slip to the floor.
I never knew a soul could weep
until I kissed the tears from my own.
I never knew a soul could mourn
until I couldn’t bring mine home.
I never knew a soul could leave
until I had to beg mine to stay.
I never knew a soul could rage
until the day mine faded away.
I never knew a soul could wish
until mine was left alone.
I never knew a soul could heal
until another was placed in my own.

I don’t have enough hands to count the people who have gone through this, it rips out my heart.
I would give anything to help those who suffer from this pain.
This is beautiful Nicole xoxoxo

I have know women and their mates who have suffered this, one couple who did so at least three times that I know of, plus an ectopic pregnancy that had to be surgically terminated. They did finally bring a daughter into the world after many years of trying.
This is heart breakingly beautiful.

This is never easy, and the pain doesn’t just go away. Not even when we are later blessed with a child we are able to carry to term. I went through the same thing, after years of thinking I couldn’t conceive. Then a few more before my son came along. My thoughts are with you. You’re not alone.
