The center of attention
is a precarious spot indeed;
add a dash of hypomania,
the zest of a neglected soccer mom,
a pinch of her husband’s undesired advances,
fuse together and cover
with facetiousness.
Flambé during a school
fundraising event, stand back
and watch the motherfucker burn.
I remember that story (unless, of course, you have more than one of the same type. It is beautifull compacted into this poem.
