We starved ourselves
of sleep, but we gorged
on each other, and every
other thing they had
warned us about.
It was glorious,
and enlightening, and
tragic, and every now
and then I refuse my meals
and reminisce about the days
when I went hungry,
and filled myself on the
decadence they tried to keep
for themselves.
