Desecration

I found the pieces
you tried to hide,
buried in secret
places, untouched.
Oh, how I yearn
to lash the beauty
of them and leave
my stain
upon each one.

Nicole, you possess the rare gift of nuanced discretion. that is to say, you imbue profundity into restraint. you are able to say more by saying less. i find this aesthetic to be the ultimate goal in poetic expression that is based in the pure emotion and depth of the human experience. it’s also the expressive aesthetic that most resonates with all people from all matters of circumstance. this is why i have such great appreciation and respect for your work.
