Over the past few days I have been corresponding with a young woman on The Lithium Chronicles Facebook page who is in a rather dark spot. I am happy to write that she is now actively seeking treatment and while she is still overwhelmed and quite low, she sees that there is hope. She reminded me a lot of myself a few years back, and that scared me.
Today my Survivor Story is being featured for the Stigma Fighters Survivor Series and I’d like to share it with all of you. You can read it here.
Thank you to those who have always had my back. You are never ever alone.

Stay strong in the fight, Nicole, your words will reach many. You may never know. I was mired in depression when I was 20. I didn’t go through with it, mostly because I didn’t want to hurt my family, who had suffered through the disease for generations. It was a blessing…I had no idea how good my life could be. Thanks for your courage, and for sharing your story. ❤️ Van
